The Palm Crescent sub-community of Palm Jumeirah by Nakheel enjoys its 11-kilometre-long man-made Palm. While it is geographically part of the Palm, its character is distinct because it is the only part of the island that faces the open Arabian Gulf on one side and the calm Palm lagoon on the other.
The reality of Palm Crescent: There is only one main vehicular entry/exit via the 6-lane subsea tunnel (25 meters below sea level) that connects the Crescent to the "Trunk" of the Palm. Distance to E11: It typically takes 15–20 minutes just to reach the Sheikh Zayed Road interchange from the Crescent due to speed limits (6080 km/h) and internal traffic. Public Transit: It is the only part of the Palm serviced by the Palm Monorail, which has its terminal station at Atlantis (Central Crescent).
