The legendary Indian actor Dharmendra, 89 years old, died today, November 24, 2025. The news signals the end of an era in Bollywood, where he was celebrated as the 'He-Man' because of his unforgettable roles in classics like Sholay.

A Six-Decade Career: Dharmendra starred in over 300 films, showcasing incredible versatility in action, romance, and comedy. His contribution to Indian cinema earned him the Padma Bhushan in 2012.

Family Life: Dharmendra has been married to Prakash Kaur (Dharmendra's wife) since 1954. He later married actress Hema Malini in 1980. He is survived by his large family, including four children from his first marriage: Dharmendra's sons, the popular actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and his two daughters, Vijayta and Ajeeta. The Deol Family Hub: Dharmendra's Juhu Residence

The Ancestral Deol Family Home in Mumbai

The heart of the Deol family home is the bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai (Dharmendra's home). This residence has served as the gathering point for generations of the Deol clan.

A Landmark in Juhu: The Dharmaendra home in Mumbai is situated in one of the city's most exclusive areas, home to many film stars. Unlike many modern apartments, this is a private, large bungalow that has retained a traditional, classic charm.
Privacy and Tradition: The family, including Dharmendra and his sons,  Sunny and Bobby Deol, have always kept their life here private, treating the residence as a retreat from the spotlight.

Sunny Villa: The Traditional Anchor of the Deol Clan

The Name Behind the Deol Family Home

The Deol family home in Juhu is famously known as 'Sunny Villa', linking the property closely to Dharmendra's elder son, Sunny Deol.
A Blend of Worlds: The villa's design reflects Dharmendra's simple, rustic roots from Punjab. It features a lush, large garden and lawn, which is a rare sight in crowded Mumbai. This green space provides a 'farmhouse-like' feel within the city.

The Family Base: 'Sunny Villa' is the primary residence where Dharmendra lived with Dharmendra wife, Prakash Kaur and their children. It symbolises the continuity and traditional values that the Deol family holds dear, serving as the main anchor for all their family events and celebrations across generations.
