Is Theft Really a Concern in the UAE?
The UAE boasts low crime rates, particularly in gated communities and high-end developments. However, opportunistic thefts still happen, especially during peak holiday seasons like summer, Eid, and New Year. According to Ras Al Khaimah Police, burglaries tend to increase during the summer months when many families travel.
